After five months, an indoor gig

Just to be shooting indoor live music again was good enough, but some of my favourite local musicians were playing: very excited. Colour of the Jungle, Wren, Jake Bezzina and a first time seeing Charles Harris’ new band Frosty Shadows of Dawn. That’s a ‘satisfying south coast music scene’ line-up. Shot at the Gaiety Bar on South Parade Pier, Portsmouth.

I love Colour of the Jungle and its always a treat to photograph the charismatic and expressive front man Jack Evans. I’ve had the pleasure of shooting them a few times, they never disappoint.

I’ve loved Wren’s gigs for many years, first as a solo act and now as a full band collective, superb songs, gorgeous vocals, great band, and a pleasure to photograph.

Charles Harris is certainly one of the best guitarists I know, and a lovely bloke. A pleasure to see him in his new band Frosty Shadows of Dawn. Great stuff.

And finally, Jake Bezzina, of Blackfoot Circle, superb vocalist and guitarist, and again a pleasure to shoot, always real emotion in his performance which is great to capture in photography.
